Association Alice Milliat (FAM) France

The Association Alice Milliat was created at the end of 2014 with the objective of promoting women sports by ensuring media exposure and effectively supporting new projects, actions and operations, whether it is competitions, mass events, or any other sporting activity. The name of the Association has been chosen as a tribute to Alice Milliat (1884-1957), who worked hard to promote the access of women to the Olympic Games at the beginning of the twentieth century. It was founded to promote media coverage of women sports, which is growing year on year but still has a long way to go.

The aim of FAM is to promote and enhance women sports exposure in the media through various actions (large events, documentaries, books, conferences, project supports, etc.). It helps bring to life projects promoting physical exercise for young girls/women, and ease social integration through sports (all disciplines combined), including sports for the disabled.
